Research & Development
Regenics AS has developed a number of assays and techniques to study effects of various substances on skin in vitro and in vivo. Our focus is developing products and techniques to improve wound healing and rejuvenation of skin.
Methods and Assays:
Regenics’ research is state-of-the-art in areas of cell differentiation, reprogramming, skin stem cells, gene and protein expression in skin cells, as well as skin wound healing assays. We have a number of in vitro and in vivo assays, utilize multiple cell lines, as well as tissue-models for wound healing. Regenics have developed novel methods for effect studies, and run a number of downstream applications on gene and protein level.

Current research focus:
Regenics’ primary research focus is to develop, scientifically document and patent therapeutic wound healing products from a proprietary extracts from biomarine ingredients, including salmon eggs. The products will improve wound healing, stimulate regeneration of skin cells, regulate skin cell differentiation and stimulate collagen secretion. These effects are also sought after in cosmetic applications; through a separate project we will spin-off an active extract fraction as a cosmetic product ingredient. Regenics has several research areas of interest to be explored in the next few years. Psoriasis and immune responses in wound healing are among them.
